New Faculty Members at Southeastern

Please welcome our new faculty members:

Rev. Austin Clark

We are delighted to announce that Brother Austin Clark has joined our faculty in a full-time capacity this fall having served as an adjunct faculty member for two years. He and his wife Rachel, who serves as a dorm supervisor, have been married since August 2008 and they have 3 children: Joab (10), Gloriana (7) and Judah (4). Brother Austin served in pastoral ministry at both the associate and senior level since 2009 coming to the college after serving as the lead pastor of Faith FWB Church in Rockingham since 2016. He has a B.A. in Bible from Gateway Christian College, a Master’s in Theological Studies from Liberty University and is working on a Ph.D. from Liberty in Bible Exposition. Brother Austin is now serving as the Chairman of the Bible Department and teaches in the areas of Theology, Bible, Greek, and Homiletics.

Dr. Daniel Reynolds

Dr. Daniel Reynolds joins our Christian Education Department this fall as an adjunct Science professor. His Ph.D.  is in Organic Chemistry, and he was a development scientist for twenty-five years at GlaxoSmithKline. He currently serves as the chairperson of the Triangle Association for the Science of Creation (tasc-creationscience.org). Dr. Reynolds has given talks and written articles on creation and intelligent design for over twenty years. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Reynolds to the Southeastern faculty with his servant’s heart and passion in the science field as a true biblical Creationist.

Dr. Jerry Wood

With great excitement, we welcome Dr. Jerry Wood as an adjunct Business professor this fall. He has over a decade of university teaching experience to accompany his Ph.D. in Accounting. In between teaching experiences, he worked for many years in the county and local government in Tazewell, Virginia. We are thankful for Dr. Wood and his eagerness to help our business students succeed in their coursework. His wealth of knowledge in his field will serve our students well.

Mrs. Jennifer Hopkins

Alumnus Jennifer Hopkins (’99) returns to the College as a piano instructor and choir accompanist. She has more than twenty years of experience as a piano instructor and church pianist. She has a heart for using music to glorify God and a strong desire to train others to serve the Lord through their musical talents. We love our alumni and are thrilled to have one of our own to join our faculty.
