Founded on strong doctrinal convictions and a passion for ministry, Southeastern is committed to developing servant-hearted students who are prepared to make a lasting impact in their churches, communities, and the world.
The purpose of Southeastern Free Will Baptist Bible College is to train students for church-related ministries.
While we fully understand and appreciate that all truth is God’s truth, it is our purpose to prepare our students for a variety of church-related ministries, such as pastors, associate pastors, evangelists, missionaries, Christian school teachers, youth pastors, church musicians, and office personnel.
Students choosing to attend Southeastern FWB College do so because our program is more “ministry oriented” than “career oriented.”
In the process of offering this specialized training, it is our objective to emphasize the following: strong local churches, biblical pastoral authority, soul-winning, revival, Christian schools, home and foreign missions, as well as high academic standards with an emphasis on practical application.

Southeastern Free Will Baptist College was established in 1982 to meet a growing need for ministry-focused education among Free Will Baptists. Rooted in a strong biblical philosophy, its founders emphasized the importance of training pastors and Christian educators grounded in local church ministry. The college officially opened in 1983 in Virginia Beach, VA, and later moved to its permanent campus in Wendell, NC, in 1987.
Over the years, Southeastern has expanded its programs, grown its faculty, and remained committed to its original mission: to prepare students for church-related ministries. Guided by faithful leadership and supported by churches across the region, the college continues to equip the next generation of servant-leaders through rigorous academics, practical training, and a heart for evangelism.
Our president and leadership team guide the college with integrity, vision, and a commitment to Christ.
