Southeastern Alumni Serving On The Front Lines Request Your Prayers
Southeastern alumnus, evangelist, missionary, and Christian camp founder Pavel Clipa says, “God is doing some amazing things around here. This van load of ten refugees left Ukraine for Poland…via Moldova and landed at Christian Camp Cristia in Voronet, Romania. And, we are thankful to our great God for directing them here to the Camp God gave us to use for Him. Today, Camp Cristia is a Fair Haven for refugees. But, as we look at it, Camp Cristia has always been a Fair Haven for refugees (Acts 27:8). Our camp is a place where people who are lost and at war in their soul can run to find rest, safety, and salvation through Christ. Please pray for us as we and other believers serve in this part of God’s Kingdom.“

It’s safe to say that Southeastern Free Will Baptist College is a special place. I’ve heard countless stories
and testimonies from graduates about how God has used Southeastern to shape them. Now, after being at Southeastern for just over a year, I too can say that God has used this institution to shape my life for the better.
There are countless reasons why I love Southeastern. However, one of the main reasons I love
Southeastern is because it has such an amazing spiritual atmosphere. Unfortunately, I did not have the
privilege of attending a Christian school growing up. Until I attended Southeastern, I had only been in a
public school.

During my junior and senior years of high school, I was dual enrolled at a community college. So, I have even experienced two years of secular education at the college level. Despite growing up in a local church, coming to Southeastern was intimidating because I felt very unqualified. I was nervous that I would struggle or that others would look down on me because my family is not in ministry, and I only had secular education. I am happy that these fears were irrational and that no school has ever loved or cared for me like Southeastern. The staff, faculty, and student body desire to know God and to make Him known. The Lord has used this institution and the atmosphere here to grow and strengthen my relationship with Him, and I am so thankful.
Another reason I love Southeastern is that we have such a tight-knit campus.
Compared to most other
colleges and universities, Southeastern is a small school with a small student body. Many people think negatively about our size. However, this is one of my favorite things about the college. I truly know and love everyone here, and I could not imagine attending a college where I did not know my classmates. I think of the people at Southeastern as my family, and I know I have fostered relationships that will last a
lifetime. Although there is still room for growth, I know that the Lord is going to be able to work through
these relationships that are being made here at Southeastern. It is going to be so encouraging one day
to have dear friends in the ministry that are working towards the same goal. I can’t wait to see how the
Lord uses the students here at Southeastern!
Although no institution is perfect, it is evident that God is working through Southeastern to change lives and grow His kingdom. I will forever be grateful for Southeastern and how the Lord has used it in my life.
