State Authorization for Distance Education

Southeastern Free Will Baptist College offers distance education in accordance with the regulations of the United States Department of Education and the regulations of each state or territory.

The National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA) is a voluntary agreement among its member states and U.S. territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of post-secondary distance-education courses and programs. It is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by post-secondary institutions based in another state.

Southeastern Free Will Baptist College participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

SFWBC Student Complaint Process for Online Courses

Students who wish to resolve a grievance should first follow SFWBC’s Complaint Resolution Policy outlined on page 44 of the current academic catalog and available on our website under Student Complaint Policy.

If the person filing a grievance with SFWBC does not feel the issue is being adequately addressed by SFWBC, he/she may submit their complaint to the organizations provided below.  Out-of-state students who wish to file a complaint with their home state should refer to the State Authorization Liaisons Per State responsible for handling complaints.

NC Post-Secondary Education Complaint Procedures:

If a complaint cannot be resolved through the complaint process of Southeastern Free Will Baptist College, students may file a complaint with the North Carolina Post-Secondary Education Complaints unit. Please review the NC Post-Secondary Education Student Complaint Policy, print and complete the NC Post-Secondary Education Complaint Form, and submit the complaint to the following address:
