Librarian and Professor
Catherine Pendley serves as our librarian and a faculty member here at Southeastern. Her mother taught at Southeastern for many years, which lead to Raleigh, North Carolina, being Catherine’s hometown. She is an alumnus of Pensacola Christian College, where she received her B.S. in Commercial Writing and East Carolina University, where she received her MLS. Before her ministry at Southeastern, Catherine has served as a proofreader and copy editor for A Beka Book and a teacher at Hilltop Christian School. Catherine has been married to her husband, D.J., for 23 years. They have two children, Robert, a student at Southeastern and D.J. III, who serves in the Air Force. Outside of the office, Catherine enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
Southeastern Free Will Baptist College is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; e-mail: info@tracs.org], having been awarded Reaffirmation I of its Accredited Status as a Category II institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on October 22, 2024. This status is effective as of January 1, 2025, and is valid through December 31, 2034. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (ED), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
