This visit was led by Dr. Tanmay Pramanik, the Vice President of Institutional Compliance and Southeastern’s accreditation liaison, along with five content experts from across the country.At the conclusion of the visit, the College received a draft report of the team’s assessment, which contained only one recommendation and six suggestions. Dr. Pramanik stated that this was a great report.
- [NEW SCHOLARSHIP FOR ALL BUSINESS EDUCATION STUDENTS](https://www.sfwbc.edu/new-scholarship-business-education-students/): Starting in August 2024, Southeastern is proud to announce the establishment of a new scholarship specifically designed for business students. The Richard P. Meyer Business Scholarship will be awarded to all full-time Business Education students living on or off campus. This scholarship is awarded at the following rates per semester for a minimum of four semesters regardless of residency: $500 for full-time (12+ hours) or $250 for part-time (6-11 hours). Other scholarship recipient qualifications must be maintained as outlined in the College Catalog.
- [PERSONAL REFLECTIONS OF A DAUGHTER](https://www.sfwbc.edu/richard-p-myer-personal/): In 1923, at four years old, Richard woke early each day to walk more than one mile to the one-room schoolhouse, he attended to light a fire in the school’s wood stove. The building was warmand toasty when the teacher and other students arrived! He received 3 cents each day for doingthis. Richard grew up during the Depression, so he learned at a young age how to work hard, befrugal, and save for a rainy day. After high school, he attended business school. His first job wasat the Hutton Brickyard (on the Hudson River in Kingston, New York), where he worked in theoffice filling out work orders, doing payroll, writing business letters, etc… His desk had a Royalmanual typewriter, which he used to do his work.

President Ange and the Board of Directors have tremendous confidence in the provision of our Great God that this transition follows the definitive Plan of Succession for the Administrative Leadership of Southeastern. President-Elect Jones will serve alongside President Ange to select future faculty and staff during this transition. We rejoice in the evident Hand of God in preparing the College for the great days of opportunity that lie ahead. We believe the “best is yet to come.”

To Southeastern Free Will Baptist College, Dr. Danny Baer is one of those notable individuals. The Southeastern community holds Dr. Baer in high esteem for his godliness, wisdom, servant-leadership, and vision. He first began working as an adjunct faculty member for the College in 1983 and has served in the various capacities of Business Manager, full-time Professor, Registrar, IT Director, Academic Dean, and most recently, College Dean since 2018.  Throughout his tenure at the College, he has influenced a generation of students in Bible, business, and education classes. With his big hands and an even bigger heart, God has used him to shape and mold lives for the work of God’s kingdom. His influence and guidance were significant in supervising the faculty and developing and maintaining the degree programs of the College. While the Academic Dean, Dr. Baer was pivotal in spurring and achieving the recently awarded national accreditation through the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). His vision and leadership were crucial in seeing this monumental goal accomplished.

Dr. Moots and his wife Vicky have two children, Travis and Jennifer, who both graduated from Southeastern and are serving in full-time ministry. They are also proud grandparents of six. Dr. and Mrs. Moots are faithful members of Faith FWB Church in Goldsboro, where they had served before moving to the College’s Virginia Beach location in 1983. Dr. Moots’ extensive experience in the field of education has prepared him for this new role, and Southeastern is excited to move forward under his leadership.

Nathanael Joseph Ange has been named the sixth president of Southeastern. Nate Ange has served as an evangelist, associate and youth pastor, camp director, church planter, and professor of Homiletics at Southeastern. Additionally, he served as assistant moderator, moderator, and treasurer of the North Carolina State Association of Free Will Baptists for twelve years. As an evangelist, Nate has enjoyed seeing hundreds of people surrender their lives to Christ. Numbers of preachers, pastors, and missionaries acknowledge Nate’s positive influence on their decision to surrender to Christ’s service. His great love for God and the next generation of servant leaders are cited as reasons that the Board of Directors selected him for this influential role as president of Southeastern.

These singing groups have the opportunity to travel across the country and minister in a hundreds of different churches. They do everything from singing on stage to teaching Sunday School classes. - [Admissions Policies](https://www.sfwbc.edu/admissions-policies/): High school students are encouraged to take the ACT (act.org; school code 4327) or SAT (collegeboard.com; school code 3776) in the Spring of their junior year and apply early in their senior year. In January of the high school senior year, it is recommended that students file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form (fafsa.ed.gov; school code 042740). Receipt of financial aid is dependent on acceptance for admission. Grants are generally awarded by March each year for the Fall and by October for the Spring. These grants are dependent on the FAFSA score and filing date.

Rev. King pastored the Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church in Cramerton, NC. He was loved for his heart for missions and commitment to biblical truth. Southeastern is forever grateful for Bob King and his role in Southeastern’s founding.

The choir had the privilege to minister at a foster home for troubled boys, an assisted living facility, a youth retreat, and many churches. Each night was an amazing blessing. We even got to go snow skiing.

This status is effective as of January 1, 2025, and is valid through December 31, 2034. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (ED), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

- [Our Story](https://www.sfwbc.edu/about-us/our-story/): On April 12, 1982, a formal meeting was held at Hilltop Free Will Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina for the purpose of starting a new college. Two major philosophical issues became the focal point of discussion about the future of Free Will Baptists. One was the training of ministerial students and the other was the training of teachers for Christian Day Schools.  This gave rise to talk about beginning a new college that would offer Free Will Baptists a philosophy of ministry that reflected these concerns.
