Youth Aflame

June 20^th – 23^rd

 6/21/05 Update:

“For such a time is this”… is how you could describe Youth Aflame ’05! With approximately 215 registered and over 15 churches from 8 different states God continues to send His blessings upon His work. We kicked off the conference on Monday night with the Youth Pastor Contender, a competition between visiting youth pastors. Excitement filled the room as each church began to cheer their youth pastor on to victory.

 “The Incredible Evangelist” showed up and prompted the youth conference attendees to flee from the dreaded “Filthy Lucre” and “CCM Man”, and to choose the path of life. Everyone is looking forward to the other episodes of this incredible drama.

Brother Nate Ange opened the Monday night keynote service with a powerful convicting message on “The Devil’s Triangle” from John 10. The presence of God came down as the altars were filled with weeping teenagers getting their hearts right with God. We look forward to what God has in store in the remaining days.

There is great excitement among the sponsors, teenagers, and Southeastern staff as we anticipate great things during Youth Aflame. Continue to pray that God will do a mighty work in the hearts of His people. Stay tuned for pictures and updates!

Over the past year SFWBC has realized the need to provide a summer youth conference for our fundamental Free Will Baptist churches all over the country. We desire to have an excellent and first class youth conference that will have fiery preaching, uphold biblical standards, and provide an exciting atmosphere for young people to enjoy and anticipate.

 The Lord has led us to host the conference this year at the Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church in Union, South Carolina. Pastor Richard Conyers has been so gracious to open the doors of his church to the college and your young people. Union is just a short drive from Charlotte, NC where we will be able to take advantage of several activities in that area. There will also be plenty of hotel space for all who choose to attend. 

        Date: Monday, June 20^th through Thursday afternoon, June 23^rd.

Activities: Paramount’s Carowinds, exciting skits, and other first class activities in the Charlotte area.

Services: Over the course of the conference we desire to use men of God who will preach the Word of God with power and conviction, and use music that is uplifting and heart warming.

Cost: The cost will be around $90.00 not including your hotel cost (this will average around $15.00 or $20.00 per person).
