Email

Information

All students have a Southeastern email account hosted through Google (Gmail) . You can log into your email at http://mail.sfwbc.edu or www.sfwbc.edu/students/email . Please use whichever of these is easier for you to remember.

Your email address consists of your firstname.lastname@sfwbc.edu  or  firstname.lastname@sfwbc.edu .(It is the same email account). Your Populi password is the same as your email password.

Many students find it is helpful to forward their email to their present email address. However, please note that all email to administration and faculty should be from your sfwbc.edu address.

Your Southeastern email account storage limit is 7 gigabytes.

How do I configure POP Access?

Please see the articles here for more help with your email client.

Keep in mind that the configuration requirements are slightly different -- any time you're asked for your username during the configuration process, you'll need to enter your full email address instead (username@yourdomain.com, i.e. rodney.holloman@sfwbc.edu).

Importance

Chapel announcements, professor communications, etc. will be handled through your email account. You will need to check your email at least every day.

What's the Gmail for your domain Mobile URL?

Each phone and mobile provider has a different way of letting you view web sites like Gmail for your domain Mobile. Here are some general instructions that will help you access your Gmail for your domain account from your mobile phone: Connect to the web. If you aren't sure how, scroll through your phone's menu, and look for the option to access the web and launch your phone's web browser. Select the option to enter or access a URL. Enter http://mail.sfwbc.edu , and select OK (sometimes called Go To or Send). Make sure to replace [your domain] with your actual domain name. Gmail for your domain will automatically detect if you are using a mobile device.

Google Talk

You can talk, chat, and send/receive voicemails via your sfwbcmail.com account using Google talk.
