Baby and mother are doing GREAT!! Natalie is actually speechless!! Their son's name is Landon Eiljah Guffey. We admitted my dad to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC yesterday. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He began having problems while at the national and has gotten worse each day. Our family would appreciate you asking others to remember him in prayer.

Hello everyone,
Jeff has just got out of surgery and is now in recovery. Hopefully, he will be back in the room around 8:30 to 9PM. The doctor said the surgery went well. They operated on his right hand. The nerve is in tack and the nerve covering was damaged during the accident. It will take time for the nerve to regenerate itself.
The MRI results on his left side will not be available until tomorrow. Jeff continues to make slow improvements. Please continue to pray for him and the family.
I am asking everyone to please not come to the hospital to visit him yet. The doctor says he needs to rest, and he needs to sleep. He does wake up for a few minutes at the time. He knows he is in the hospital, but he does not remember what happened. He recognizes everyone that he sees, but he just does not remember who he is talking to because of the medication. Every one of you knows him well and if you come up to visit he is going to try to talk to each one of you. He loves each and every one of you. Hopefully, he will be able to have regular visits by the end of the week.
I will have another update for everyone sometime tomorrow morning. It looks like he is going to be here a little while. I know he is going to be excited to see each and everyone of you.

Good morning everyone,
I wanted to give everyone a quick update on Jeff. He rested fairly good last night. He woke up several times last night complaining that he was not very comfortable lying in bed. He even had his little smart remark about already being tired of being in the hospital. He is also still complaining a lot about his left shoulder and arm. As I mentioned last night they did perform surgery on his right hand and the surgery went well.
The doctors have just come in and updated me on his condition. They are pleased with his progress so far. They do not plan to do anymore surgeries so they are going to try to start him on some light foods later on this morning. The doctors have looked at his MRI and they think as of now the issue with his left arm and shoulder are due to the swelling of his nerve endings that control his muscles on his left side. They think for right now they are going to wait to see how the nerves recover by themselves. The doctors are also going to let the specialist look at the MRI to see if there is anything else that they might have missed on the MRI.
Thanks again for all your prayers and please continue to pray for him. I will try to update everyone later this evening.

I just wanted to update everyone on Bro. Jeff's condition. He is doing much better today. He does have two broken bones in his right hand but it will not require surgery. He also appears to have some damage to his left shoulder, possibly dislocated, that is causing him a lot of pain. He is waking up about every 5-10 min. and is talking when he wakes up.
He recognizes everyone and understands what is going on. He is showing all the signs that the doctors want to see after a head injury as far as responding to questions and moving his arms and legs. The neurosurgeon said today that everythings looks really good. Thank you so much for all of your prayers.

Please continue to pray for him as he is in a lot of pain and will be for quiet some time. Also pray for Rose, Stacie, and Leslie. They are all doing very well.

2008 Southeastern FWB College Alumni Update - Prayer Request for Jeff Jones 5-24-08

An Update on Jeff Jones

I just wanted to update everyone on the preacher (Jeff Jones, pastor of Hilltop FWB Church).

If you haven't heard he was in a motorcycle accident on Saturday. As of now, he is doing good, but he is very banged up. It appears that his arm is NOT broken as was expected, but there is some damage to his hand and wrist. The doctors don't know the extent yet because of the swelling.

The biggest concern is his head injury. There is a small amount of bleeding at the back of the brain but it doesn't appear to be getting any worse. As long as nothing changes he should be fine other than a lot of cuts, bruises and swelling.

He is not in a coma nor is he on life support as many have been asking. Every time the doctors talk to the family the news seems to be better. I personally think that is because of the prayers of many of you. He will definitely be in a lot of pain for several days and the doctors will continue to monitor his head injury.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

2008 Southeastern FWB College Update - News Release - Marc Holloman

News Release Southeastern FWB College is proud to announce that faculty member Marc Holloman has completed his Master of Education degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. The graduation ceremony was held on May 3, 2008 in conjunction with the underclassmen and other graduate recipients. Mr. Holloman currently teaches in the Education department and has been at the college since 2001. He is an alumnus of Southeastern FWB College and is married to the former Judy Snipes. They reside in Princeton, NC with their two daughters Ariel and Carissa and attend Faith FWB Church in Goldsboro, NC. Congratulations may be sent to mholloman@sfwbc.edu .

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

I just want to share with the great news of my Dad and Mom's salvation yesterday morning. My Dad called me after church {where he had been attending with my 2 brothers and their families, and my sister and her family) and he said “Benny I stepped out and mommy almost knocked me down getting to the altar.”

He and momma had been in church 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Thank you for all your prayers on their behalf. Its been 10 years of praying, begging, preaching, fasting, and loving… BUT GOD!

I want to thank all of you for your prayers, emails, phone calls, etc during this difficult time. We are so thankful to the Lord for what He has done. We will not soon forget Monday afternoon at around 4:15 when me and my three oldest kids pulled up to our house knowing the weather was serious and hearing Charity run out the front door screaming for us to get inside and to the downstairs bathroom. My heart began pounding hard as I looked out the back door and saw a 1/4 - 1/2 mile wide tornado coming straight at us. I immediately ran into the bathroom where the Charity and the kids were and we all six got into our shower and began praying to our best friend, the Lord Jesus Christ. His presence was so real as the tornado ripped through our neighborhood. I am so thankful that not only is His presence with us during those diffucult times but His presence is with us ALL the time. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Thanks for your prayers as we minister to many, many families. Charity and I have already made several contacts and have several prospects for CrossPointe Church. Over 115 homes in my neighborhood of Hillpoint Farms have now been condemned. It is devastating to see the damage. The pictures on TV has not done it justice to seeing all of the damage firsthand.
Many people have asked how you can help. We have set us a disaster relief fund through VA state missions. We have put all of the information on our website's home page. Click on "Help us rebuild Suffolk". We will also have updates this weekend on our website with pictures and a video. Please pass our website address and the information to all that you know. Dear Alumnus, Nineteen years ago next month, I had the privilege and honor of walking across the stage at Southeastern Free Will Baptist College to receive my college diploma. The Lord has led me in so many ways and to so many places these last 19 years. I�m reminded of the eighth Psalm. It says in verse three and four, �When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? As never before, I�m realizing that it is all about �His Kingdom� and �His Will� being done on earth as it is in heaven. The small corner of His will that I sit in is such an honor for me. Two weeks ago, I enjoyed returning to Southeastern with my family for the 25^th anniversary celebration of the college. Sitting there with my children, listening to the graduating seniors preach their hearts out sent my mind back twenty years. I envisioned the exciting journey of ministry that I�ve experienced and the journey those young preachers are embarking on. God has been so very good! And to think that in just a few months my daughter will sit where I sat and be challenged to pour out her life for our great God is such a blessing for me. Another honor for me during our 25^th anniversary celebration was that the alumni elected me to be the president of the alumni association. I pray that I will be a blessing to you, our school and the Lord�s work. We have made such strides as alumni in recent years. To God be the glory! The vision is not about the alumni but His kingdom. And His kingdom still needs schools like Southeastern Free Will Baptist College preparing young people to carry the message of grace to every walk of life. I want to invite you to join with me to help raise the hands of every Southeastern alumnus in their field of ministry and raise the hands of those actively fulfilling the mission of Southeastern. Today, I�m thrilled with the college�s direction, its staff and its product! Let�s help by praying for Dr. Stox and Mrs. Dolly. Every professor needs our prayers in their continued challenge of molding young lives.
